Meet Meagan Artrip, a Certified Medical Assistant at Bristol Glen, a UMC community, in Newton, New Jersey and our March Care Champion Hero! Meagan is recognized for her calm when incidents occur in her community, as well as for going above and beyond to ensure the comfort and safety of residents after a fall. She’s also known for her ability to support residents with cognitive impairment, especially in moments of vulnerability. Her nominator, Natassia Fleischer, Tapestries Director says, “Meagan is often the voice of our residents who are confused and cannot communicate verbally. Being on the Memory Care residence, she’s able to respond to residents’ needs using cues from residents who are not able to speak or are confused after a fall. Her understanding of dementia-related confusion is unmatched. We are truly honored she’s part of the team.” And it’s our honor to name Meagan a Care Champion Hero. If you know a caregiver with qualities like Meagan’s, we’d love to celebrate them, too. You can nominate them here here.
