Join us in congratulating Nejat Wabela for being named our latest Fall Champion Hero! Nejat is a Resident Assistant at HumanGood Piedmont Gardens in Oakland, California, and the community feels very grateful to have her as part of their team. Laura Roberts, Memory Support Program Manager and Nejat’s nominator says, “Nejat has such heart for our residents. When they are in times of great need, Nejat shows great compassion.” This is especially evident in Nejat’s falls response, as Laura adds, “She gets on the level of the residents, offers comforting back rubs or supports, and engages the resident in conversation while waiting for assistance.” We’re proud to call Nejat a SafelyYou Fall Champion Hero, as she truly demonstrates the highest level of concern for residents in a fall event.
